International Festival "Classical Concerts in Batumi 2026"

On April 21-24, 2026, Batumi will host top-notch musicians from around the world and offer listeners unforgettable musical evenings with a diverse program. The project is being implemented at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, which aims to strengthen international cultural dialogue.

Organizer: Batumi State Music Center

The evening will be held at the Batumi I. Chavchavadze State Drama Theater / Address – Sh. Rustaveli St. # 1

On April 21, at 8:00 PM, the International Festival will open with the concert "Classical Harmony"

They participate in:

Piano – Ellen Mercier (Canada) After studying at the Juilliard School in Canada, Vienna and the Juilliard School in the USA, she studied at the Paris Conservatory. She has been invited to play with several orchestras in Europe and North America, including the Prague Philharmonic, the RAI National Monte-Carlo, the Minnesota and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestras. In Paris, she played with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under Zubin Mehta and at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées under Kurt Masur. In Canada, she has performed with the Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal orchestras under Charles Dutoit, Trevor Pinnock and Long Yu. In China, she has performed in Shanghai with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. With the Paris Orchestra, conducted by Semyon Bychkov.

Violin – Daniel Lozakovich (Sweden) “Constant mastery, exceptional talent,” was how the renowned publication Le Figaro described him after his performance at the Verbier Festival, while the Boston Globe praised his debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Andris Nelsons at the Tanglewood Festival in July 2017. Lozakovich is the current season’s resident artist with the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and will be giving solo recitals throughout the season.

The evening will feature works by world-famous composers, showcasing the diverse and rich palette of classical music. The melodies of the piano and violin harmoniously combine and transport the listener to the world of classical music.
