On June 19, this year's summer season will be opened by one of the most beloved musicians and bands for Georgian listeners - Niaz Diasamidze and 33A - at Mono Hall in Batumi.
Niaz Diasamidze is equally good at many different things – in addition to writing music and lyrics, he paints, makes wine, makes folk instruments, can repair furniture, and who knows how many other things.
The music is like that too – created with knowledge and love of many different things. It may be a strange fusion – a mix of reggae, rock, folk music, gypsy songs with Tbilisi music – in the very broad sense of the term – from duduks to Otar Ramishvili. Sometimes these components are even present in one song.
The constant search and creative sincerity in the process played a role in the band's popularity - "33A" has been considered one of the leading bands in Georgia for more than 25 years. It should also be mentioned here that "33A" is not just Niazi. Together with him are some of the best musicians in the country, without whom the band's music would be completely different.
