"The story, which the storyteller tells us from the stage, is about the clever frog Chico. When Chico is in trouble, Buffy the Frog helps him and saves him from death. By order of Alvin the Lion King, a meeting is held in the forest. Fox - Lacey, Bear - Wilbur, Pig - Dudley and Donkey - Roxy unanimously decide to serve the lion a weak frog for breakfast. This is where a great and interesting adventure begins.

Buffy, who has fallen into despair, is rescued by Chico the Frog. Chico devises a plan to escape from the Pumpkin Forest. The animals, however, prevent him from achieving his goal. In the end, Chico the Frog outsmarts Alvin. The lion dies in a fight with his own reflection. The previously hostile animals now appear as friends and happily elect the Frog as their king.
