Joker James (also known as “JJ”) is a musical project by independent journalist and musician Alexei Ponomarev. It is a demonstration of a completely unique “bard rap” genre that combines hip-hop grooves, rock scene heritage, and echoes of the British 60s.

In his live shows, Joker James is experimental. Through a chain of audio effects for vocals and guitar sounds, layering music on top of each other, he creates an immersive sonic tapestry – one that will leave no one in the audience indifferent.
