American International School Progress announces a vacancy of the cook position.

Progress is authorized by both the state and the American Council of Schools and Colleges, “College Board”, which allows us to issue state certificates and American diplomas. The school has also obtained the American high school accreditation “Advanced”. The accreditations give the school the right to implement a dual, Georgian-American curriculum and award students with an official American high school diploma in Georgia.

The school is looking for To the head chef, who will be responsible for organizing the daily work of the school kitchen and preparing quality, delicious, and safe food for the children.

Main Responsibilities:

• Preparing daily menus for school students and organizing the kitchen workflow;
• Planning and controlling the cooking process;
• Control of the process of receiving, storing and using products;
• Ensuring food quality, taste and visual standards;
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen;
• Using kitchen equipment and appliances correctly and safely;
• Organizing the work process of the cook's assistant and distributing tasks;
• Providing information about necessary products to the administration;
• Compliance with appropriate temperature and hygiene requirements during food preparation and storage;
• Knowledge of the requirements of the HACCP (Food Safety) system in force at the school, compliance with it and guidance in the daily work process; ensuring the maintenance of procedures, control measures and records defined in accordance with HACCP;
• Timely identification of possible risks related to food safety, compliance with relevant procedures and, if necessary, informing the administration;
• Compliance with school internal rules and food safety requirements.
