Information
July 25 – Due to the scale of the event, organized by Mono Hall Batumi and Boom Boom Booking Agency, one of the most popular and recognized French duos in the world – Polo & Pan – will perform at the Batumi tennis courts.
The French duo Polo & Pan began to form in the 2010s, when the duo's members, Paul Armand-Deli (Polo) and Alexandre Grynszpan (Pan), met at the Parisian club Le Baron. During that time, the artists were residents of the same club and often played together, as a result of which they soon began to gather a loyal electronic music audience around them, and a little later, they moved to the concert stages of clubs and festivals in France. Years later, wanting to refine their musicianship, they moved from the clubs to the studio and formed Polo & Pan.
Their depth of musical knowledge and personal chemistry have brought them real success: by the end of 2024, the duo’s work had over 2 billion streams on popular platforms and 3.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify. In addition to several EPs released on Hamburger Records and Ekler, their revolutionary singles have reached international audiences: 2016’s “Canopée”, 2018’s “Naña” and 2021’s “Ani Kuni”. Their first two albums, “Caravelle” and “Cyclorama”, have been certified gold and platinum respectively.
Polo & Pan frequently tour globally, performing at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Electric Daisy Carnival, as well as venues such as Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl, Denver's Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and New York's Avant Gardner, as well as numerous other club and festival venues across Europe, North, and South America.
“We learned to work with instruments to improve our creative skills,” say Polo & Pan. “We set up the studio so that everything was connected — for comfortable playing and recording — the musicians used analog microphones and tape recording techniques to record, aiming to capture the retro feel of recordings: where the music had character and the emphasis was on personal recording.” Most of the vocal and musical collaborations were recorded in the studio, with a view to quick and naturalistic writing: “We kept as many of the first takes from the scripts as possible, because our philosophy is not to force anything,” Polo & Pan note.
The audience will also be introduced to Phil Tuchmann, the producer of one of the most popular French music companies in the world, Cercle, and Jino Dollini, a regular participant in local events.
